The 16th of July, 2009Abu Dhabi, UAE
It was a gentle blow, a cooling breeze
it’s effects lingered on for weeks
the temperature dipping just below the high
her crimson blood dripping over the sides
of the leather seats, and the serenade
that the perfect knob dared to play
reminding you, reminding me,
of all thoughts lost and love received
so beg farewell to those final days
that left us wanting in a way
all that was so very bad, so very impatient
so tell me all the lies untold
tell me that I’m not too old
lead me down to that special dawn
where perfection’s found in imperfect songs
lead me down to the caves, the sea
the salt, it invigorates me
the scent on the rocks, they lay to rest
the doubts infested in my chest...
And her calming embrace killed the pain.
Of my blood dripping down my arms.
